TCT Live 2012 and Personalize Hailed as Showcase for Additive Manufacturing and 3D Printing

The organiser of TCT Live, Rapid News Communications Group (RNCG), has reported that the 2012 edition, held 25–26 September at the NEC, Birmingham, was a stellar success.

Almost 5,000 attendees came through the doors of the event over the two days with the quality of the visitors particularly high. Exhibitors have reported significant lead levels and many companies have already reserved their space for 2013.

Paul Gately, Channel Manager at Stratasys, commented: ”It’s been very good, we’ve had some good quality leads from companies we’ve not been in contact with previously.”

Colin Cater, Product Manager at ES Technology endorsed this view: “TCT is the shop window for the UK industry. The variety and interesting developments have increased year by year, and TCT is the only UK event to find it all under one roof.”

Deirdre MacCormack, Chief Marketing Officer at Mcor Technologies, added: “It’s become a very important show for us, we’ve returned every year. It produces fantastic leads consistently.”

In addition to the industrial solution providers this year also saw the debut of the Personalize hub, focused on the emerging maker and consumer markets for 3D printing. This zone proved to be one of the most popular and busy sections of the show. Personalize zone exhibitor Sculpteo put it simply: “Awesome event, we had a blast!”

The combination of exciting technology on show with no admission charges, free seminar sessions, free car parking and free visitor Wi-Fi proved a winning formula for visitors and the stage is now set for continued growth in 2013.

Duncan Wood, Chief Operating Officer, RNCG, commented: “With the buzz around Additive Manufacturing and 3D printing, it is no surprise that TCT has again taken a step forward. Strong visitor numbers through our strategic co-locations and the largest show floor we have produced combined to highlight the excitement and interest there is currently around these technologies.”

“Special thanks must go to our speakers, exhibitors and steering committee. Their passion for the technologies has been the catalyst for the success of the show. We are now looking forward to taking the event up another level in 2013 and we have significant news on this coming very soon.”

The TCT Show, incorporating Personalize, will take place on 25–26 September 2013, Hall 3a, NEC, Birmingham, UK.
