The Berlin Institute of Health (BIH) has introduced the digital laboratory data management platform from labfolder through a licence agreement.

Under the terms of the framework agreement BIH member entities and its employees will have access to the electronic lab notebook at the Charité — Universitätsmedizin Berlin (University Hospital) and the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine (MDC) in Berlin-Buch.

“The licence agreement with BIH is another key milestone in our company’s development,” said Dr Simon Bungers, CEO of labfolder. “The agreement also shows the importance of centralised and digital data management solutions for large research associations. labfolder meets all compliance requirements and provides a unified approach to data security and archiving.”

Using this software scientists can capture, link and manage data from a variety of sources while adhering to laboratory guidelines and industry standards. It can be installed on both local and central servers and can be adapted to various requirements.
