Bormioli Pharma prototypes address market needs at CPhI Worldwide

Bormioli Pharma has revealed a range of packaging prototypes for growing market needs at CPhI Worldwide.

The prototypes address some of the growing needs in the market, including usability, sustainability, connectivity and traceability.

Pharma packaging manufacturers are being called to respond to growing trends such as biotech drugs, personalised medicines and changing consumer needs.

Bormioli Pharma’s answer to these challenges is making innovation one of its development strategy pillars. The company is endeavouring to introduce a new agile approach to innovation and advancement in its corporate culture.

The company has reviewed its existing centralised innovation model towards a more open and collaborative one, to create an ecosystem able to generate new value. This will be possible working with internal and external partners, such as start-ups, research centres and universities, but also customers, suppliers and final users.

Several collaborations have been implemented so far with important realities such as BearingPoint – developing dedicated innovation sessions addressed to the company’s employees – and H-FARM, that is partnering with Bormioli Pharma to accelerate the innovation process, starting with the definition of an innovation strategic roadmap and also including the development of prototyping models through the analysis of the market needs.

As an example of its recent progress, Bormioli Pharma is showcasing its new prototypes at an innovative experiential installation at its booth at CPhI Worldwide.
