Day one at Pharmapack

2017 marks Pharmapack’s 20th year, and in that time the event has it has grown in size, profile and popularity to a major annual show that attracts 5,100+ visitors and over 380 exhibitors from more than 70 countries around the world.

It’s good to see this year’s event feature high profile visitors as always - attendees and delegates range from CEOs and CMCs to pharmacists and business execs, and work in every area from R&D and drug development to purchasing, engineering, marketing, logistics and business development.

Phillips-Medisize

Technology manufacturer Phillips-Medisize is demonstrating its connected drug delivery devices at the show.

The company is offering solutions for the development and manufacture of drug delivery devices and primary pharmaceutical packaging. The variety of contract services featured include device strategy, product development and manufacture across specialty drug delivery devices, dosing systems, disposable insulin pens, blood glucose meters, inhalators, multi-component dosing units, spray applicators, right up to wearable drug delivery devices designed to improve patient engagement and drive better outcomes.

Schreiner MediPharm

One new launch includes a booklet-label with an integrated closure seal by Schreiner MediPharm. This meets the requirements of EU Regulation 2016/161 and combines first-opening protection and product information with three innovative digital features for authentication – a novel BitSecure copy detection pattern; a KeySecure tracing system for mobile identification and authentication as well as an integrated NFC chip that even enables the end user to authenticate the product via a smartphone.

The newest addition for 2017, the Pharmapack Start-up Hub, is designed to let innovative young pharma firms benefit from valuable networking and learning opportunities at a price that suits their budget. This dedicated area on the show floor gives them a platform to showcase their ideas, meet potential customers, partners and investors and forge new relationships that will help them develop for years to come.
