Catalent Drug Delivery Experts Present Collaborative Product Development at EPTM Conference

Dr. Cornell Stamoran, Founding Board Member of the Catalent Applied Drug Delivery Institute, and Terry Robinson, Executive Director of the Institute, are to present at the 52nd Annual Eastern Pharmaceutical Technology Meeting (EPTM).

Dr. Stamoran’s presentation is titled 'Don’t Leave Money on the Table:  Collaborative Product Development for Better Patient Outcomes' and will highlight payer/physician/patient perspectives on how dose form design and dosing regimen complexity impact patient outcomes and market uptake. The session will include real world examples of optimisation and describe how collaboration with both drug delivery providers and academia at an early stage of development may yield better R&D returns on investment and reduce clinical and market uptake risk.

Robinson will follow Dr. Stamoran’s presentation and will focus on 'The Catalent Applied Drug Delivery Institute: Building Bridges for Better Patient Outcomes'.

The conference’s central theme is 'The Future of Pharmaceutical Business-Academic-Industry Collaboration for Better Innovation' and takes place in Basking Ridge, New Jersey, US, on 20 September 2013.

Dr. Stamoran has spent nearly 25 years engaged with the healthcare industry, and has experienced the realities of patient adherence and outcomes enhancement from almost every stakeholder perspective, from direct engagement with retail and hospital pharmacists, medical professionals, specialty pharmacies and clinics and pharmacy benefit managers and payers. He has directly participated in adherence and outcomes enhancement strategies for more than 150 drugs over the last 10 years.

Robinson was named Executive Director of the Catalent Applied Drug Delivery Institute in February 2013. She is responsible for establishing industry relations, academic programmes, education and technology development. Robinson has over 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical strategy, development and account management. Prior to Catalent, she worked for Amgen, Inc. as Sr. Manager of Corporate Accounts. Previously, she held a number of positions at Eli Lilly & Company, serving as a member of their Business to Business team focused on retail drug chains, drug wholesalers and hospital health systems.
