Reportedly, Amazon discusses its options surrounding the pharmaceutical market at an annual meeting in its headquarters in Seattle. However, this year, it seems the company is more serious about its move into the sector.

According to the report, Amazon is recruiting employees to focus on pharmaceuticals and this new team will form part of the consumables business department. Although this move is not a certainty for the retail company, as a result of regulatory complications, there have been expansions by Amazon into medical supplies sales in the US and drug sales in Japan, so it is broadening its recruitment pool.
