A new partnership between the manufacturers’ organisation, EEF, and R&D tax relief specialist, Jumpstart, has been announced. This deal will be a part of the EEF’s Advantages programme.

Under the terms of the agreement, Jumpstart will provide expert advice to EEF members, ensuring they receive full entitlement of R&D tax relief, and also guidance to companies seeking to apply for credit for the first time. This should benefit companies of all sizes, according to the EEF.

“Our role is to support manufacturers and help them realise their growth ambitions in an ever more competitive environment. Investing in R&D is vital to attempts by manufacturers to do just that by increasing their innovation performance and productivity,” explained Charles Garfit, EEF membership engagement director. “This partnership will be critical in helping companies navigate the complexities of the process of applying for the R&D Credit. It will ensure that those companies already benefiting can maximise their entitlement, as well as enable those encountering the process for the first time to achieve a smooth route through it.”

“Jumpstart I delighted to be partnering with EEF,” confirmed Scott Henderson, managing director of Jumpstart. “Building on our significant strength in the engineering & manufacturing sectors, we welcome this opportunity to contribute to the developing dialogue on innovation and we look forward to supporting both large and small companies submit robust claims for tax relief.”
