Lab mixers boast improved handling with touchscreen panel

The L-series of ploughshare laboratory mixers manufactured by Gebr. Lödige Maschinenbau are now easier to operate thanks to the conventional pushbuttons having been replaced by a modern touchscreen panel.

With the use of a touchscreen panel, Lödige has further improved the handling of the L-series of laboratory mixers. The development was focused on user-friendly visualisation of the controls, e.g., a clear and uniformly designed screen display. The basic functions are performed using easy-to-understand icons to enable intuitive operation of the mixer. Furthermore, fast start-up of the machine pays off in day-to-day running, e.g., the mixer shaft speed is infinitely more variable via the touchscreen panel. In addition to comfortable handling, the touchscreen panel offers a further decisive advantage, in that the smooth surfaces are said to guarantee problem-free, thorough exterior cleaning.

With the replacement of pushbuttons in the L-series of laboratory mixers, Lödige has expanded its portfolio of mixers with a touchscreen panel for product and process development or pilot operation. The basic version of the MGTL laboratory mixing granulator is also available with this equipment feature.
