Affordable labeller guaranteeing reliability and precision enters market

With an entirely new labeller bearing the name ‘basic’ for reliable and economical applications, HERMA is staging a world premiere at the forthcoming interpack fair. “The demand for labellers like these is increasing worldwide among our partners,” said Martin Kühl, head of HERMA's Labelling Machines division. “We have therefore conceived a completely new solution to meet their requirements.”

The HERMA basic model is designed to ensure reliability and precision in a broad variety of standard applications at a price that is affordable. The workmanship of the new labeller reflects HERMA’s customary quality aspirations. The HERMA basic is built on the same line in Deizisau near Stuttgart, Germany, as the much higher-spec and even more versatile HERMA 400 labellers. “Made in Germany at our principal facility, this new model embodies HERMA’s genuine DNA,” insisted Kühl. Users can benefit from connectors on the new labeller that are identical to those of the HERMA 400. Customers requiring significantly higher performance and greater functionality as time progresses can therefore easily exchange a HERMA basic labeller for a faster and more versatile model. “Thanks to this new model, even users with modest budgets now have access to cutting-edge HERMA technology,” explained Kühl.

The HERMA basic offers a speed of up to 25 m/min, which is adjustable by way of the keypad with integral display. By integrating the control in the machine, HERMA has been able to dispense with a separate switch cabinet. The compatible label size extends from 12 x 12 mm to 160 x 400 mm. According to Kühl: “With the HERMA basic, we are redefining the technical benchmark for machines in this category. In view of its favourable price positioning, this model lays claim to being a unique proposition in its segment.”
