Laboratory Spiral Jet Mill in Isolator for HPAPIs Provides Containment Below 1 µg/m3
F.P.S. Food and Pharma Systems has launched a compact isolator system for laboratory and pilot plant micronisation. The isolator has been developed to allow the installation of an F.P.S. PilotMill-2 spiral jet mill unit in a configuration that enables the processing of a few kilogramme batch sizes with jet mill, twin screws flat bottom feeder and separation cyclone filter.
The micronisation control manifold is installed outside the isolator for ease of use and cleaning. The touchscreen operator panel provides full system control.
Cryogenic operations are also possible with a proper cooling system.
Containment levels are guaranteed to be below 1 µg/m3 (8-hr TWA), with a pre-chamber for the isolator inlet and continuous liner for product exit.
The isolator can be easily adapted for additional activities such as dispensing or quality control activities.
