Marchesini Group celebrates 40 years of packaging

This year, to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its foundation, the Marchesini Group has scheduled its first open factory for 5–23 May. This event will take over from the traditional open house event, during which customers and partners of the company would meet periodically. For this event, the headquarters in Pianoro will become the meeting place for anyone who belongs to the world of Marchesini.

The meeting location will be the new Growing Younger Museum (GYM), a new museum that recollects the history of the company, starting way back in 1974 when the founder Massimo Marchesini built his first cartoning machine, in a garage, laying the foundations for today’s Marchesini Group, to nowadays. The name Growing Younger Museum was thought to reflect the company’s ethos, working in a modern way but without forgetting the distinctive features that have turned it into one of the most important reference names in the field of pharmaceutical and cosmetic packaging machinery.

In addition to the museum, there will be a showroom offering a view of the other companies belonging to the Marchesini group, as well as a conceptual work of art entitled Fortune, Tell me, created by the young artists association Antonello Ghezzi.

Over the past few months, the headquarters in Pianoro have undergone some major renovation work and there will be 23 complete lines and more than 200 standalone machines for packaging on show during the open factory.
