Medherant patch technology recognised by Coventry Telegraph Business Awards

Medherant, developer of transdermal drug delivery patches, has been awarded the ‘Excellence in Science & Technology Award’ at the Coventry Telegraph Business Awards.

The award recognises the progress and innovation made by Medherant in the development of transdermal drug delivery patches. The TEPI Patch, developed by the company, enables a broader range of drugs to be delivered through the skin, allows more drugs to be loaded onto the patch and provides a good patient user experience.

Additionally, Medherant has developed a high-throughput system to assess the rate of drug delivery from its patches, enabling it to test a range of potential formulations for each drug and optimise the final product. The company is already working with pharma manufacturers to test various drugs in the TEPI Patch platform.

“This award is validation of the potential of our TEPI Patch technology to revolutionise the transdermal drug delivery sector,” commented Nigel Davis, CEO Medherant. “We have continued to grow an excellent team and to partner with top companies from around the world as we look forward to progressing our technology further.”
