New alliance adds AMS to CRMO’s offering
A new partnership means that contract research and manufacturing organisation Molecular Profiles will have access to Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) analytical technology – allowing it to compete on a larger scale.
Contract research and manufacturing organisation Molecular Profiles, a subsidiary of Columbia Laboratories, and spectrometry specialist Xceleron have announced a collaboration to assist drug developers with improved efficiency during clinical development.
Recently, Molecular Profiles launched its new ‘Roadmap to Clinical Trials’ platform, which will be complemented by the collaboration. The company also has collaborations in place with Onyx Scientific and XenoGesis – and these partnerships mean that the group can compete with larger CROs.
Xceleron brings knowledge in the use of Accelerator Mass Spectrometry (AMS) analytical technology in pharmaceutical product applications to the Roadmap. The initiative was created to support companies with the rapid development of both standard and complex drug products.
Along with improving the quality and accuracy of clinical data based on drug disposition, the transatlantic alliance aims to support early proof of concept studies and to assist drug innovators with more assured translation.
