New business formed to help with serialisation data challenge

A new business has been formed to help with the growing number of companies requiring assistance to meet the forthcoming serialisation requirements and deadlines.

Meditraq, which is part of the Tjoa Group, together with contract packaging organisation (CPO) Tjoapack, will provide an outsourced solution to the serialisation data challenge, supporting companies with the implementation and management of technology for the safe and secure exchange of serialisation data.

“One of the greatest challenges of complying with global track and trace requirements is the complexity of managing and sharing huge volumes of data throughout the pharmaceutical supply chain,” said Dexter Tjoa at Meditraq when discussing the announcement. “Given our team has been involved in the serialisation world for over 25 years through Tjoapack’s contract packaging services, we have recognised a need in the market for greater support to overcome the serialisation data challenge, and this has driven the decision to establish Meditraq. Quite simply, we take care of our customers’ serialisation data requirements, meaning hassle-free compliance with global regulations.”

The new company’s services will include onboarding all supply chain partners and internal manufacturing sites with the necessary software to ensure serialisation data management and exchange. In addition, it encompasses ongoing support and compliance services such as the management of master data, sending data between relevant parties, monitoring transactions, and solving exceptions involving serialised data.
