OptiBiotix joins community of probiotics experts

Life sciences company, OptiBiotix, has joined the International Probiotics Association (IPA), which provides a forum for both academia and industry to share industry updates, new product developments and advances in research within the area of probiotics.

“We are pleased to join such a respected network of probiotic experts and look forward being closely involved with its activities,” noted Stephen O’Hara, CEO of OptiBiotix. “The IPA’s work is vital to the progress we are making in microbiome science and our membership will help us to enhance our expert standing in the field.”

George Paraskevakos, IPA executive director, added: “The IPA wishes OptiBiotix a warm welcome. Our international community of experts is at the leading edge of probiotic research and development so Optibiotix will be in good company.”

OptiBiotix discovers and develops microbial strains, compounds and formulations which modify the human microbiome — the collective genome of the microbes in the body — to prevent and manage a range of diseases.
