Pharma Hygiene launches hygienic butterfly valves

Cleanroom and laboratory products specialist, Pharma Hygiene Products, has extended its process equipment range with stainless steel hygienic butterfly valves.

Hygienic butterfly valves are perfectly suited for use with pharmaceutical powder dispensing systems. Constructed in 316L stainless steel, simple to assemble and breakdown, for easy and thorough cleaning, the valves provide sanitary powder handling in situations where hygiene is essential.

Valves are available with internal diameters from 100mm to 400mm and comprise of a vane/disc, sandwiched between two flanges and a seal/gasket.  The flanges, or valve body, can be either clamped around the vane using the specially designed clamp, or bolted. A comprehensive range of spigot attachments (including Tri-clamp) and accessories are also offered to enable connection to a wide range of process equipment.

Together with discharge cones, hygienic butterfly valves represent the company’s introduction of powder handling products to its growing range. Powder containment seals will also be joining the range soon.
