Companies in the pharmaceutical sector have won two awards in the European Business Awards on May 27. Jaba Recordati and Galenicum Health each won an award out of over 100 companies.

Jean Stephens, ceo of RSM, commented: “Out of the 100 plus companies taking part in this year’s European Business Awards, only five came from the pharmaceuticals sector and yet, what an achievement it is for the sector to have two of those honoured with these coveted awards.”

Jaba Recordati, which is part of an international pharmaceutical group dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing and marketing of pharmaceuticals for primary care, won the Employer of the Year Award.

Growth in the company since 2012 was up 9% and it has shown a dedication to rewarding its staff and developing their skill sets with an academy project. Also performance levels for this year have gone above its major competitors.

Spanish company Galenicum Health won the Business of the Year award for its dedication to research and development and what was highlighted as an ambitious business model. They won in the €26-150m turnover category.

The business awards showcase the top companies of the past year and also help to promote excellence and the most innovative practices in the business community.
