Press&Take dosage system scoops fourth innovation award

Medical device manufacturer Stiplastics received the Best Innovation award for Press&Take, a product designed for the dosage of granules, micro tablets and capsules. It is the fourth win for the product, which has also been recognised at CPHI, Emballage and was the winner of a Packaging Oscars Award.

The design means that users get the required number of granules, micro tablets or capsules in a single delivery, without having to count them one by one.

The system is adaptable to almost any solid form of drug, and can be used to evenly dispense unit doses as well as for doses pre-defined by the laboratory.

It dispenses the granules, capsules or micro-tablets in accordance with the laboratory's medical indications, e.g., one by one, two by two, or three by three.

Because the device manages irregularly sized pills, a laboratory can split its development cost on different drugs.

The device can be inserted in any existing tube, regardless of its size, and in tests, medications were never jammed or broken inside the system.
