Raumedic delivering at Pharmapack

Drug delivery specialist Raumedic is displaying its RauSafe product designed to prevent needle stick injuries. RauSafe can be adapted to a variety of existing injection systems on the market and provides reliable protection whilst being simple and intuitive to use.

Needle stick injuries can result in health and financial consequences and are risk factors that have to be taken seriously in doctors' offices, hospitals and in the home care field. Therefore the EU Directive 2010/32/EU for the prevention of needle stick injuries came into force in May 2013.

After the injection the active safety device can be pushed forward like a telescope. As soon as the needle is completely enclosed, the user can hear and feel the system click into the end position.

The group has also teamed up with DS Technology to offer a patented system which enables easy and safe dosing of drugs in pellet form.

Imprecise dosing is prevented through exact predosing by the pharmacist. The system has been designed for use in the fields of pediatrics and geriatrics.

Finally, the group has a new dosing syringe with an external locking mechanism for the application of liquid drugs. The dosing is adjustable in increments of 0.5 ml which permits individual and exact dosage.
