Santen joins ABPI

Santen UK, the new subsidiary of the Japanese specialist ophthalmic pharma group, has joined The Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI).

Santen UK was established in November 2014 and is the latest franchise in its European presence which also includes Germany, France and Italy as well as north, central and east Europe.

ABPI members include small, medium and large research-based biopharmaceutical companies operating in the UK.

Welcoming Santen to the ABPI, Samantha Ogden, Chief of Staff and Operations, said: “It is hugely encouraging for the industry and the wider UK economy that biopharmaceutical companies continue to see the UK as a great place to invest and do business and we are looking forward to working with colleagues at Santen, alongside the rest of our membership, to ensure that this remains the case for the future.”
