Sieving innovation tackles fine particles

by

Lab equipment specialist Endecotts Ltd. has developed a new system designed for sieving very fine, dry particles that require dispersion and deagglomeration (for example, electrostatic materials) using air-jet technology.

Named the Air Sizer 200, the system can also be used to provide a sieve cut of powdered materials. Endecotts states that most sieving operations on the Air Sizer can be completed in a few minutes.

There is a built-in ability to regulate the level of vacuum, and constant or timed-operation of the system should help to improve sieving performance, explains the group.  The design is said to be based on advanced air-jet technology for fine particles, compatible with dry material 20µm upwards.

Key features include digital controls for easy and reliable operation, usability with 203mm and 200mm premium air-jet sieves and adjustable nozzle speeds from 5-55 rpm. Endecotts also offers a pre-filter unit and vacuum cleaner as accessories

The Air Sizer 200 will be available as of October 2014. More details are available here.
