Significant expansion of serialisation capabilities revealed by PCI

Outsourcing services provider, PCI Pharma Services, is significantly expanding its serialisation capability at its Hay-on-Wye site in Wales, with the installation of an operational flexible serialisation suite.

This investment represents the first phase of the company’s multi-stage installation of an expanded serialisation capacity at the Hay site. Earlier this year, PCI disclosed plans to triple its serialisation capacity across its global network in preparation of the approaching DCSCA deadline in November.

The suite to be installed includes strategically located multi-position laser and thermal inkjet coding heads, with associated inspection cameras to deliver flexibility in configuration, location and type of coding. Additionally, to satisfy the EU-FMD requirements, the suite includes multi-position tamper evident labelling heads to support a fill service solution.
