Single-Use Biologic Pumps to be Displayed at INTERPHEX

Quattroflow, a leading brand of positive displacement quaternary diaphragm pumps from Almatec Maschinenbau GmbH, will display the latest offerings in its single-use line of pumps for use in biologic-handling applications within pharmaceutical and biotech operations at INTERPHEX 2013 — the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York, US, 23–25 April — on booth 2463.

The incorporation of single-use pumps in biologic-handling applications is gaining wider acceptance among pharmaceutical and biotech manufacturers because they can help optimise end-product speed-to-market. Single-use or disposable pumps feature a replaceable wetted pump chamber, which is an advantage for manufacturers looking to maximise their production operations. The single-use pumps reduce downtime between two batches, save time and money and are quick and easy to change.

Quattroflow positive displacement pumps are ideal for single-use systems because they incorporate a four piston-diaphragm technology with no mechanical seals that is driven by an eccentric shaft and motor.
