Temp-regulating capacitance manometers come top in iF DESIGN AWARDS 2018

Horiba, an original equipment manufacturer (OEM), has been announced as a winner of an iF DESIGN AWARD 2018 for its VG-200 series of self-temperature-regulating capacitance manometers.

Entrants for the iF DESIGN AWARDS were judged by a panel of 63 design experts, who specifically look at functionality, reliability and innovation as well as product ergonomics and aesthetics. This year saw 6,400 entries in total from 54 countries.

“The iF DESIGN AWARD is an undisputed, internationally-recognised seal of approval,” said Stuart Knight, director of Horiba UK. “It is a credit to HORIBA’s design engineers that the VG-200 secured the Product Design and that so many of the product’s technical, practical and aesthetic features were recognised by an independent panel of experts.”

The VG-200 is a small capacitance manometer that achieves temperature regulation through internal heating. This also prevents gases condensing within the unit and potentially affecting pressure readings and minimises the risk of corrosion.
