Webinar Attendees Learn Seven Steps to Achieve Trouble-Free Tabletting

Hundreds of people logged on to the webinar ‘How punch and die maintenance SOP improves your profitability and productivity’. Experts at I Holland, one of the world’s foremost experts in the manufacture of punches and dies to producers of tablets across the globe, helped to inform the industry on how to maximise trouble-free tablet production through seven simple key steps in the care of punches and dies.

As the first part of I Holland’s educational campaign in 2013, the webinar explained how by adopting the PharmaCare 7-Step Process and performing planned scheduled maintenance to keep tooling in immaculate condition, costly tablet press downtime and compression problems are reduced.

As tablet compression tools are often viewed as consumable items that can be easily replaced at a relatively low cost, maintenance can be seen as unnecessary and overlooked within tablet manufacturing.

A high percentage of punch and die problems can be traced back to poor handling and maintenance procedures. Correct maintenance is critical in obtaining maximum life from punches and dies. I Holland’s webinar demonstrated through its PharmaCare 7-Step Audit that this process is a necessary procedure so customers achieve optimum lifetime and performance benefits from their tablet tooling.

As a part of the educational campaign, a troubleshooting seminar will also be held again at the UK manufacturing plant on 6 and 7 March. The sold out seminar will be attended by customers from around the world, including Russia, Poland, the UAE and Ireland.
