UK SMEs invited to collaborate on high-res analysis

A new national centre established to support innovative drug discovery, Medicines Discovery Catapult, has issued an invitation to collaborate on high-resolution analysis to small to medium enterprises (SMEs) in the UK working on drug discovery.

“We’re looking for innovative, dynamic partners with technically feasible proposals that will bring about significant new advances. This is an excellent opportunity for a UK SME to accelerate their R&D,” said Dr Peter Simpson, chief scientific officer of Medicines Discovery Catapult. “At Medicines Discovery Catapult, our work is all about collaboration. We are bringing together the best minds, industry expertise and equipment to speed up the development of new medicines. We look forward to hearing from interested parties who wish to translate research into new solutions for improved patient health using Atomic Resolution SSNMR for structure determination in medicine discovery or development.”

Successful applicants will have access to an atomic resolution Solid State NMR (SSNMR) at Medicines Discovery Catapult’s facility within the University of Warwick, along with world-leading scientific support, including data analysis and interpretation.

Ant UK-registered micro, small or medium-sized enterprises engaged in drug discovery and drug re-purposing are invited to apply by Thursday 30 November.
