US patent awarded to cloud-based R&D software provider, Riffyn

Cloud-based R&D software provider, Riffyn, has been granted a patent on a hypergraph data model for experiment design and data analysis by the US Patent Office.

This newly patented technology forms the basis of the company’s Scientific Development Environment (SDE) — software used to speed scientific discovery and development.

Riffyn reported that it will use the patent to advance its position within the R&D sector, in particular, it will be used to strengthen the company’s capabilities for streaming fully-annotated and uniformly-structured data to R&D data lakes — a rapidly growing area of IT investment.
