Palletways has announced it can now provide pharmaceutical businesses with two-hour window notification times for palletized freight deliveries thanks to its innovative technology, the ETA system.

Created by the company’s IT team, the Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) system provides a two-hour time notification delivery window for customers and consumers, SMS and email notifications for consumers who can receive the information they want and a function that enables the sending customer to monitor the progress of the consignment via track and trace.

“Businesses in the pharmaceutical sector can now operate with certainty, efficiency and customer service excellence as part of their logistics planning,” said Dave Walmsley, Palletways UK managing director. “All one-hundred plus of our member depots can provide a two-hour delivery window for the delivery of construction materials and provide notifications of consignment progress via SMS and email to wither customer or directly end-user.”

Moreover, drivers in the Palletways UK network are trained to use the ETA app, which will allow them to alter routes and delivery times according to traffic conditions and unforeseen circumstances. These capabilities offer a further level of certainty to the delivery windows.
