Phillips-Medisize, a Molex company, has completed another significant expansion to its New Richmond, Wisconsin, USA, medical facility, adding drug handling capabilities.

This expansion will add nearly 70,000 sq ft of additional space to the New Richmond facility, which will accommodate significant automation, material handling, robotics and high-tech manufacturing to serve the diagnostics, drug deliver and medical device markets.
“This is the second expansion of our New Richmond facility in less than three years,” commented Matt Jennings, president Phillips-Medisize. “We are excited about the continued growth we are experiencing and the addition of drug handling capabilities we are able to offer our customers at another facility. The expanded drug handling capability will allow Phillips-Medisize to further consolidate the supply chain for our customers.”
The expansion, bringing capabilities in drug handling to serve pharma customers with the manufacture of drug delivery devices and compliance to the FDA 21 CFR 210/211 requirements is a result of continued business growth. Additionally, the expansion and continued growth has created a demand for more than 100 jobs in various departments, ranging from entry level positions to roles in automation, engineering and management.
