The study found that conventional tablets/capsules exhibit drawbacks and may not be the best solution for many people. Over 55% of surveyed people have difficulties swallowing tablets or capsules. By offering an API solely as a tablet or capsule, pharmaceutical companies are ignoring their customers needs and missing an opportunity of introducing user-friendly dosage forms.
