Bausch
Visitors from all over the world were recently guests at Bausch+Ströbel in Ilshofen, Germany. On 18–20 June, the manufacturer of special machinery had invited customers to its in-house exhibition and more than 500 visitors from about 30 countries came to experience state-of-the-art technology in new premises. During this event, Bausch+Ströbel not only presented the new assembly building complex that had recently been completed but also the brand new laboratory and research facilities constructed in the course of this new building project.
A section of the new assembly building had been converted into an exhibition area, including a lounge for the in-house show. As well as Bausch+Ströbel, visitors were also able to view technology offerings from new subsidiary Wilco and partner companies GMPI and HVS (Hohenloher Verpackungs-Service) from the neighbouring village of Wolpertshausen. Furthermore, the Excellence United partners were present with information stands and staff. In-house shows at Uhlmann and Harro Höfliger took place at the same time and a lot of visitors took the opportunity to see several companies, making use of the free shuttle service.
Bausch+Ströbel showed an attractive cross-section of its machine range, including a compact, fully automatic cartridge filling and packaging line, powder dosing equipment, a syringe filling and closing machine with a robot for later nest removal and further processing as well as the new remote service system. Moreover, customers were able to gain insight into the possibilities provided by 3D animations of machines, which can be used as an alternative to wooden mock-ups, i.e. machine models in their original sizes.
The new area for research and trials also met with positive feedback from visitors. All in all, this department comprises four laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art technology, two of which can be used as cleanrooms. Interesting developments were highlighted in these facilities during the exhibition, including a small peristaltic pump (patent pending) that can be set up for operation much more easily than its predecessor, a method used to produce glass with durable markings prior to the sterilisation process and a special dosing system offering exceptionally high accuracy.
The exhibition was rounded off with a gala evening and a series of lectures.
