Insight PH.Visitors are invited to view the latest inspection systems from Lock Inspection Systems & Loma Systems at POWTECH 2013, 23–25 April, Nuremberg, Germany, Hall 6, Stand 237. Lock will be showing its Insight PH pharmaceutical metal detector for the inspection of tablets and capsules, the Insight PH VF pharmaceutical vertical fall metal detector for pharmaceutical powders and granules and an Insight VF vertical fall metal detector for the inspection of powders and granules with a high throughput rate. From Loma, an IQ3 Pipeline metal detector for the inspection of liquids and pastes will be on display.
The Insight PH is more than capable of accepting high output rates of tablet presses and dedusting equipment processing up to 30,000 tablets or capsules per minute, rejecting any minute metal contaminations with high efficiency. The Insight PH is well-known for easy validation using the IQ, OQ and PQ documentation. The completely standalone unit can be manoeuvred and adapted to production processes thanks to its easy-to-use gas strut and angle adjustment.
The Insight PH VF can be installed to inspect powders and granules prior to the encapsulation or compacting process. Early detection of contaminants can avoid damage to expensive tooling and will keep downtime to a minimum. The Insight PH VF can be supplied with several reject mechanisms such as the completely dust-tight sealed valve reject, which is suitable for the inspection of APIs.
Lock will show visitors the Insight VF vertical fall metal detector for the inspection of powders and granules that have to be inspected at high throughput rates. The Insight VF inspects free-falling powders or granules at capacities of up to 50 tonnes per hour and still assuring a very high level of detection performance. The system can be fitted with a sealed valve or cowbell reject, depending on the nature of the product.
The Loma IQ3+ Pipeline metal detector series has been designed to provide highly sensitive in-line metal detection for all types of pumped liquid and semi-liquid products, including creams and pastes. The unit can be fitted into any existing pipeline system.
