Noxilizer, the company advancing a room temperature, nitrogen dioxide (NO2) -based sterilisation process for life science manufacturers, and Weiler Engineering, Inc., a blow/fill/seal (BFS) equipment specialist, have embarked on an exclusive supply agreement. Noxilizer will provide NOX FLEX rapid biodecontamination units for new Weiler Engineering blow/fill/seal systems.
Today, BFS systems use steam or sanitisation to decontaminate portions of the machine. The NOX FLEX units provide a sterilisation and depyrogenation process in a patent-pending application for the shroud area of new Weiler ASEP-TECH BFS machines. This should result in improved manufacturing efficiency and process control.

Noxilizer and Weiler Engineering will be presenting a poster on the results from the first demonstrated decontamination and depyrogenation of an aseptic filling line at the PDA Annual Meeting, 7–9 April 2014, in San Antonio, Texas, US.
